Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and B.K.S. Iyengar are two of the teachers who are credited as popularizing [hatha] yoga in the West. Since that time there has been an explosion of interest in the culture, spirituality and teachings of India.
This week RockOm wants to introduce you to two amazing Western musical acts, both influenced by the yogic tradition. First we bring you a Featured Track of the Week by Ithaca, NY's Ayurveda. Singer Tom Burchinal's lyrics, while not afraid of the darkness, explore a more positive, spiritual reality consistent with their namesake.
