Terms and Conditions

  1. A. I understand the RockOm Core Values and will do everything in my power to uphold these values in my discussions and behavior on RockOm.net:
    1. Resonance (Encouragement): RockOm will promote a culture of resonant, positive encouragement and growth through affirmation, cooperation, and life-giving energy. Similarly, we discourage dissonance (negative behavior and attitudes) both within the site and in the leadership.
    2. Theme and Variation (Respect of Individual Dignity): Because RockOm respects the inherent worth of all individuals as unique yet interconnected sparks of the divine, we will treat all people with the dignity, love and understanding they deserve.
    3. Polyphony (Openness and Dialogue): RockOm seeks to encourage relationships, conversations and understanding between people of all religious and spiritual practices and backgrounds.
    4. Harmony (Sustainability): RockOm will make informed choices that reduce the company's ecological footprint.
    5. Accompaniment (Stewardship): 10% of all of RockOm's profits will be given back to aid rotating charities and organizations that make a difference in the areas of music education, spirituality, and compassion.
  2. I understand that the point of RockOm is open and free discussion and is therefore not the place for "You are wrong" arguments, oneupmanship, proselytizing or apologetics (offensively defending your faith). It is fantastic that you believe what you believe, we simply ask that you respect others' rights to their own beliefs.
  3. I understand that in order for RockOm to provide an affirming, positive community and a safe haven for open discussion, violators of these User Agreements will be warned and repeat violators' accounts risk being removed at the sole discretion of RockOm.

RockOm Contract

By clicking "I Agree", you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions by electronic means:

  1. Warrantees You represent and warrant each of the following, which shall survive the termination of this Agreement:
    1. 1.1 That your are the sole owner of all rights, title and interest, including copyrights, in the material that you are submitting (the "Work") or alternatively you have the right to reproduce, publicly distribute, publicly display, and/or publicly perform the Work as well as to create derivative works based upon the Work;
    2. 1.2 That you have full power to enter into this Agreement;
    3. 1.3 That the Work does not infringe upon any third party's rights including statutory or common law copyright or, if you have incorporated any copyrighted material in the Work, you have procured, at your own expense, all authorizations necessary to reproduce, publicly distribute, publicly display, and/or publicly perform such copyrighted material as well as to create derivative works based upon the such copyrighted material;
    4. 1.4 That the Work is not libelous, obscene, or violative of any laws or regulations include any rights of publicity or privacy; and
    5. 1.5 That any advice and/or instruction contained in the Work is safe, sound, and not injurious to any user.
  2. Grant of Rights
    1. 2.1 you are granting to RockOm, LLC ("RockOm") the right to reproduce, publicly distribute, publicly display, and/or publicly perform the Work.
    2. 2.2 you expressly recognize that by publicly displaying the Work through electronic media, whether now known or hereafter created, owned or operated by RockOm (the "Website") and/or by granting RockOm the rights necessary to publicly display the Work on the Website you are providing individuals over whom RockOm has no control with access to the Work. Therefore, you agree to grant individuals who gain access to the Website the right to reproduce, publicly distribute, publicly display, and/or publicly perform the Work.
  3. Indemnity
    1. You shall, to the fullest extent permitted by law, indemnify, defend and hold harmless RockOm from and against any and all claims, lawsuits, judgments, liabilities, liens, losses, actions, causes of action, debts, costs, expenses (including, without limitation, actual attorneys' fees and court costs), and/or demands whatsoever, in equity or otherwise, whether known or unknown, threatened or actual, asserted or unasserted, fixed or contingent, foreseen or unforeseen, arising out of RockOm's reproduction, public display, public distribution, public performance of the Work and/or your breach of any representation, warranty, or covenant under this Agreement.
  4. Termination. You agree that:
    1. 4.1 RockOm may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason without the need to provide you with written notice of the termination of this Agreement;
    2. 4.2 RockOm may remove the Work from the Website at any time for any reason without the need to provide you with written notice of the Works removal from the website;
    3. 4.3 RockOm may prohibit you from accessing the website at any time for any reason without the need to provide you with written notice of RockOm's decision to prohibit your access to the Website;
  5. Choice of Laws and Forum Selection
    1. You agree that this agreement shall be governed and construed under the laws of the State of South Carolina. You further agree that the Federal and/or State courts for Beaufort County, South Carolina shall be the exclusive forum for the resolution of, any controversy or dispute arising from or with respect to this Agreement. You further agree that personal and subject matter jurisdiction shall be proper in these courts.
  6. Privacy
    1. You agree that RockOm has no duty to keep any of information relating to you and/or the Work confidential
